The impact of health inequalities in the early years to be investigated by the Health Committee

Research suggests socio-economic factors such as where you live and your income can have a large impact on your health outcomes. Last week the Scottish Government announced that they intend to investigate the impact of these inequalities in the first years of a child’s life.

The Health Committee is seeking to examine the role of health services in early years interventions and aims to establish how useful it is to focus resources on this area.
