Neuroscience journal edited by kids, for kids

A new scientific journal named Frontiers for Young Minds is about to be launched in the US. This journal is different from many others as it will be edited by children from the ages of 8 to 18 who have been paired with a mentor scientist.

Bob Knight, the professor who thought of the project when he was bored at a meeting, said he has been impressed with the honesty of the young editors – particularly when one child told him he didn’t understand anything in his article because the words were too big and confusing. The journal is free to access and will be available from April 2014.
