Glasgow City Council Parks

Glasgow City Council has recently proposed new park management rules. Under these new guidelines you would be unable to do a number of things such as use parks for outdoor educational provision without the consent of the director, walk more than three dogs at a time, participate in any demonstration that hasn’t been granted permission or play any organised sport without prior consent.

Glasgow City Council say these rules are designed to ensure everyone uses parks and open spaces safely – in reality these prohibitive rules would result in public spaces that are less useful to children, families and communities. An online petition asking Glasgow City Council to drop the proposal has received over 12,000 signatures so far.
