Some of you may have watched ‘12 year old lifer’ on television last week.
It told the story of Paul Gingerich and Colt Lundy who shot and killed Colt’s step-father at ages 12 and 15. Both boys were tried as adults, making Paul one of the youngest children in American history to be waived to adult court.
The documentary evokes real questions about the age of criminal responsibility and how we deal with children who commit crimes. Until 1st June you can view the whole programme here
