The child is always at the centre and heart of our work. A variety of factors can all cause difficulties and we have a range of services to help support children & parents/carers within the home, school and community environments. Referrals can be made by parents/carers, social work, education, health and any other agency.

The majority of our services are free to parents. Our free play therapy service has a waiting list but we have a limited amount of spaces that can be accessed for a cost (we may be able to help with this). Please get in contact to find out more.

PLAY THERAPY

Play Therapy is a way of working with children who are experiencing emotional distress which can affect the way they function in everyday life. Play Therapy can help them make sense of what they’re experiencing and help them manage more effectively. You can read more about it here

SUPPORT FOR PARENTS/CARERS & CHILDREN

We believe that parents are the best support for their child but know that it can sometimes feel difficult. By working with you AND your child we can help you to better understand how you and your child might be thinking and feeling and how it can affect you as a family.

FAMILY GROUPS

Our family activities run throughout the year and aim to help support families manage difficulties, spend quality time together and build relationships with other parents & kids. We have both afterschool and holiday programmes for families to attend together and our groups are open to the whole family and are completely inclusive of all age, ability, race, gender and sexuality.

PARENT & CARERS INDIVIDUAL & GROUP SUPPORT

We have a variety of groups for parents and carers helping to support emotional and mental health, parenting support and help combat isolation and build skills. In Glasgow we have a dedicated counselling service for parents and carers which includes 1-1 counselling and Sand Play Therapy. We also provide additional parent/carer support by working closely with other agencies and third sector organisations helping us to signpost to other relevant supports.

ADVICE & SUPPORT

Sometimes being a parent or carer can feel more difficult. It could be external pressures that leave us struggling or a new behaviour/developmental stage that worries us or we don’t understand. If you would like advice or support please get in contact.
