Children who have access to therapeutic support early in childhood go on to develop more positive coping strategies to life events and can develop stable relationships often breaking a generational pattern of chaotic lifestyles. With Kids have prioritised designing and delivering CPD (Continued professional development) programmes for professionals interested in understanding and supporting children’s emotional and social wellbeing.

WHY ATTEND OUR TRAINING EVENTS? 

We believe there are different approaches that can be employed by anyone working with children that can help vulnerable children feel a little more secure on a daily basis. 

Our qualified play therapists deliver bespoke training workshops, and CPD courses for schools, social work, NHS and third sector organisations throughout the year. Delivery can be either direct face to face or delivered online.  All materials and a CPD certificate will be supplied in conjunction with any training we deliver.

Our workshops and trainings can be delivered both online, face to face from our offices or inhouse at your establishment. 

Our training covers a diverse range of subjects from a play therapy perspective such as nonverbal communication, exploring emotions and emotional regulations, the importance of play in development, shame and stress, rough and tumble play in development, the pre-teen brain and upper-school transitions. We also deliver Watch, Wait and Wonder a unique observational training for early years staff and primary teachers and Reflective Practice training; a monthly space to help staff reflect on their work.
